2010 continues!

August 11-29, Shubin Theatre, 407 Bainbridge St.  - The Philadelphia premiere of David J. Mauriello's "Just Say Love," the stage version of this love story that was the hit  of last year's Gay and Lesbian Film Festival.  A young gay man meets a straight (or is he?) construction worker, and their relationship unfolds in a series of funny, sexy and touching scenes.  Be prepared for a few surprises!  "Enjoyably breezy...ripe with slice of life humor" (Brian Kirst, Chicago Free Press)

August 13-28, Shubin Theatre, 407 Bainbridge St. - Friday and Saturday nights after "Just Say Love":  late-night performances of "Beirut," Alan Bowne's searing/surprisingly funny play, set in a future New York.  The Lower East Side is a quarantine zone for all who test positive for a certain unnamed virus; a young (negative) woman sneaks past the barricades to be with the positive man she loves.  "A Romeo and Juliet of the boroughs" (Walter Goodman, The New York Times)

October 28-November 14, Walnut Street Theatre Studio 5, 825 Walnut St.  - An evening of short plays, all set in offices, by John Guare, Ethan Coen (of Coen Brothers moviemaking fame), Carl Morse, and Jean Giraudoux.  Hilarity abounds as these very different shows show us all the wild and crazy activities that take place in some offices we've all known, and some that exist only in the imagination...
