Always the Bridesmaid photos by Jay Olsen
R. Eric Thomas returns with a new version of his solo show--with marriage equality in a much different place than when he premiered "Always the Bridesmaid" in GayFest! 2012, he once again takes on love, marriage equality and the next best thing. Using his signature blend of humor and heartbreak, Thomas questions what the real definition of marriage is—what it means to the gay community and to the individual. Join Philadelphia's premiere storyteller for an evening of laughs and revelations.

ONE'S SELF I SING
by Tim Martin
performed by Thomas-Robert Irvin
A GayFest! regular, Thomas-Robert Irvin (who was in the casts of "Devil Boys from Beyond" in GayFest! 2011 and "The Crumple Zone" in GayFest! 2012) returns to GayFest! 2013 in a staged reading of Tim Martin's one-man show about the life and loves of Walt Whitman. There's no greater gay icon than the "good grey poet," and Irvin brings him to life in Martin's fascinating script.
