The author of "Slipping" (GayFest! 2011) and "Mike and Seth" (GayFest! 2012) returns with a new world premiere written especially for GayFest! Filled with the starkness, beauty, and raw emotion we have come to associate with Talbott's distinctive voice, Someone Brought Me takes place in the not-so-distant future, "somewhere in a city that used to be New York." A world famous photographer and his down-at-the-heels former lover meet in a ruined bar in this new world where the gulf is even wider between the haves and have-nots. As they relive their relationship, their pasts, and the history and pre-history of what used to be our world, they question the very nature of fame, feeling, and freedom. A street kid poses for the photogapher and, perhaps, awakens him once again to the possibility of kindness in this ruined and unforgiving world.
Nudity and graphic language: no one under 18 admitted.
